I spend a lot of my time talking to advertising agencies and brands about the future of the world (mainly through the lens of the internet). I'm particularly interested in behavior, measurement, and new tools.
Below you will find a selection of my regular presentations. If you are interested in having me speak at and/or run a workshop for your organization, please get in touch.
Digital Changes Everything (coming soon)
When I created a new Justin.tv account, I was greeted with this:
Simple idea. I guess we might as well use the power of repetition to make advertising copy stick, but something about this feels a little icky.
This is what happened when I tried to share an Engadget story "Obama administration moves forward with unique internet ID for all Americans, Commerce Department to head system up" on Facebook.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened.Incidentally you should all read the linked story as well.
Constant vigilance is now warranted.
I've already had to locate the offending email and find the link, find the corresponding incoming address and click through. At this point I'm irritated and in a hurry. You don't want me to verbalize my hatred of your ecommerce team at this point. Demanding a narrative or explanation before letting me go is like locking the door so your girlfriend can't leave your apartment after she's broken up with you and demanding an explanation. Bad manners, also illegal (or should be) in both cases.
And I figured out how to shoot my new (used) Hasselblad inside at
night on Polaroid!
